However not every content of your blog post will be displayed such as advertising banners, Flash files (swf/flv), or any video formats.

I present here a simple tutorial on how to import your blog rss feed automatically when you update your blog.

1. Go to your Facebook Page and click on the Edit Page link right below your page profile picture.

Edit Page link to the Admin page

2. In the Admin Page, edit setting for Notes.

Edit Notes settings

3. Next you’ll come to a page containing all previous notes for the page. On the right corner will be a link for you to import a blog.

Importing a blog

4. After a click on the Import a blog link you’ll be redirected to a page where you can enter your blog address. Fill in the address of the blog you want to import and click on the Start Importing button.

Entering website/blog URL

The process is completed and your Facebook page will automatically display articles from the blog you had imported every time you have and update.

As standard a Facebook fan page URL will look like http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fan-Page-Name/00000XXXX88888 which is long and not suitable for you to use it on your name card, banner, or other method of offline promotion. The long URL can be shortened to a URL of your choice depending on availability and I will show you how to do it.

Log in to your Facebook account and after you have logged in, type facebook.com/username in your browser’s address bar. You will be directed to the page to customize the URL.

The page will automatically show your Facebook profile URL (your username) and the link for you to customize your fan page URL.

After you click on the Set a username for your Pages a drop down menu will appear showing all your fan pages.

Select one of your fan pages and a box (Enter desired username) will appear next to the page name. *Note that this option will only available if your fan page has more than 25 fans.

Enter your desired username for the page and check the availability. This action can be done only once so choose your username (URL) very carefully.

When everything is done your page URL should look like this: facebook.com/yoururl.

Notebook

You might notice that most of the notebooks in the market are quite dull with blank pages or lines which is the most practical for all users. There are some notebooks with background images on every pages but most probably with pictures of Donald Duck or Mickey Mouse and would not really suit you because you are not a kid anymore. So how to have an interesting notebook that suit your style? The answer is to make it by yourself. You can customize everything and then all your friends will ask where do you get that nice notebook.

Here’s how to do it:

Start your Microsoft Word and a blank page is created automatically.

A notebook is usually smaller in size so you would want to change the size to A5 or any other size that you want. Click on the Page Layout > Size > A5.

Changing document size

Next is to make the cover page and the back page. I’m going to make a cover page with background image and some texts. If you want to be very artistic you can customize the cover page using Photoshop or other graphic software. To do add background image you can select Page Layout > Page Color > Fill Effects and then select the Picture tab. This method however only suitable if the picture you want to insert have the same dimension as your paper. If your image is larger or smaller than the paper size you can use Watermark. Select Page Layout > Watermark > Custom Watermark. In the Watermark pop-up box select the Picture Watermark button and then select your picture. Then adjust the scale to fit the size you wanted. Deselect the Washout button if you want your picture to be at full opacity. Note that using the Watermark tool will make all your pages to have the same background image. You’ll need to create a new document if you want different image for your back cover.

Adding background image

Next step is to add some texts to the cover page. Create a Text Box (Insert > Text Box > Draw Text Box) anywhere you want to place the text and then type onto it. Use the WordArt tool to customize the appearance of the text (Insert > WordArt). Remove the fill and stroke for the Text Box to make it invisible.

Once you done with the cover page it’s time to customize the inner pages. Create a new document with the same A5 size. Add background image using the same method as before but I would prefer to check the Washout button to dim the image so that it will not interfere with any writings on it.

Some people would prefer notebooks with lines so here is the trick to add lines to your paper. In Microsoft Word 2007 the insert horizontal line function is hidden in the Page Border properties box. Select Page Layout > Page Border. When the Page Border properties box has appeared, click on the Horizontal Line button at the bottom left corner of the box. Then Horizontal Line box will appear and select the most basic line and press OK.

Adding horizontal lines

When the horizontal line is already on the page, double-click on it to change its color or other setting. Then you can just Copy and Paste the lines to fill the rest of the page. If you have an A4 size printer you might want to create another page so that it will be easier for your to print the document.

Pages with complete lines

When all done you can print the document by yourself or go to a printing shop to print the cover page on thicker paper and add plastic front and back cover.

Bind them together with ring binder and you’ll have your own custom notebook.

I had created a link exchange page in this blog about 2 month ago. The page was created so that anybody can place their link in this page without having to ask me. My link exchange page is a bit different because I use WordPress Link Directory plugin for the page making it to be a blog directory instead of a normal list of links.

To add you links to the page, just click on the Link Exchange link on the category menu and then click on the Add URL link. Then fill in your blog details on the Add URL page and press the Add Link button. The form contain fields for you to fill in your name, e-mail, blog name, blog url, blog description, a reciprocal link. Reciprocal link means the address of your blog that contain my link. For example if you place my link in your http://yourblog.com/links page then that will be the reciprocal link. I will need to approve your link before it will appear in the directory.

The steps are very simple but there always been a problem where some people just don’t read or understand. That is a LINK EXCHANGE page therefore if you don’t want to add my link to your blog then please don’t bother to fill in the form. I will only approve links for blogs that have my link on them. That means you have to add my link on your blog before I can approve your blog link in my directory. You can simply add my link on your page by any mean you like or you can visit the Link To Us page to view the HTML code I have provided.

If you browse the directory, links are sorted by PageRank. This is a customizable feature of the plugin. The plugin also count all hits in and out for all the links together with thumbnails.

Just now I’ve stumbled upon a website using the StumbleUpon toolbar about a short film titled “Struck“. It’s a story about a guy being struck by an arrow. The arrow cannot be removed therefore the guy need to live his life with an arrow stuck in his chest. It’s a short film and does not have too many dialogue but it does brings you some great messages. The film already won 12 awards and also about 40 nominations in various film festivals. I can’t embed the video here because the website is the official website for the film and they probably don’t want the video to appear elsewhere. The last person you see in the video might make you laugh haha. I wonder is it coincidence to meet the website on this day or is it because God is giving me a sign . Please take a look and give your comments.

Actual synopsis of the film:

On his way to work one day, Joel (Bodhi Elfman) is impaled through the chest by a three-foot arrow. But it doesn’t harm him. And it won’t come out. So Joel has to learn to deal – both with his newfound protrusion, and his own painful loneliness. He tries to go to work, to date women, but no one seems ready to accept his strange flaw. Little does he know, his life is about to change forever…

Lately I’ve been viewing videos and specs of some superbikes after receiving an email from Yamaha about their new 2010 YZF-R1. My interest with superbikes started when I was 10 years old when my brother bought some magazines about superbikes and he was a motorcycle mechanics at that time. It has always been my dream to own one but I didn’t push hard on that because superbikes in Malaysia is very expensive due to the import tax. A new 2009 YZF-R6 cost about RM85,000 (USD25,000) while the MSRP in the US is only USD10,190 (RM35,000). I’m writing this post to compare some 1000cc models based on their technical specifications.

Data based on manufacturers’ specifications and Wikipedia.

This is a great news because previously Malaysians can only with withdraw their Paypal balance to oversea bank accounts or prepaid cards such as TuneMoney. The direct debit into Malaysian banks are possible because Paypal has integrated MEPS into their payment system. Even if your bank ATM card does not have the MEPS symbol, you might also be able to withdraw your funds because it seems like almost all banks in Malaysia are listed by Paypal.

Paypal fund withdrawal

Here are the list of banks being accepted by Paypal for direct debit:

AFFIN BANK BERHAD

ALLIANCE BANK MALAYSIA BERHAD

AMBANK BERHAD

BANK ISLAM MALAYSIA BERHAD

BANK KERJASAMA RAKYAT BERHAD

BANK MUAMALAT BERHAD

BANK OF AMERICA

BANK SIMPANAN NASIONAL

CIMB BANK BERHAD

CITIBANK BERHAD

DEUSTCHE BANK

EON BANK BERHAD

HONG LEONG BANK BERHAD

HSBC BANK MALAYSIA BERHAD

MALAYAN BANKING BERHAD

OCBC BANK (M) BERHAD

PUBLIC BANK BERHAD

RHB BANK BERHAD

STANDARD CHARTERED BANK MSIA BHD

THE ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND BERHAD (RBS)

UNITED OVERSEAS BANK

Withdrawal to banks in United States are free of charge but for banks in Malaysia, the withdrawal fee is RM3 if the withdrawal amount is less than RM400 but free of charge if the withdrawal amount is RM400 or more. This fee is better than withdrawal to prepaid cards where the fee is RM20 for every withdrawal. Minimum withdrawal amount is USD10 or RM40. Paypal had also noted that some banks might introduce additional charge for the transfer so you might need to check with your banks about that.

Here’s something even better, withdrawal to bank accounts will only take about 2-3 business days but withdrawal to card will take from 5-7 business days.

Hi guys.. Today I would like to share something that I just knew and I believe many of you still do not realize. It is something about the Malaysian Currency and this article is not just focused to Malaysian because some of you might want or need to visit Malaysia in the future. We use money everyday but sometimes we might encounter a mutilated or broken currency notes. I had always confused about these notes whether they are still valid to be used and what should I do with them. Most of the time I will try to spend the note and hope that the shopkeeper will accept it. What happen if the shopkeeper don’t want to accept the broken notes? Here are some information you should know about the Malaysian Currency:

Legal Tender. The banknotes and coins must not be defaced (damaged or spoiled by writing or drawing) for them to be legal tender. Any party can refuse to accept payments using defaced notes or coins. For coins, there are limits to which you can use them to make payments. 50 sen (Malaysian cent) coins can be used to make payments of up to RM10 while 5 sen, 10 sen, and 50 sen coins can be used as legal tender up to RM2. 1 sen and RM1 coins has been removed from usage and no longer valid as legal tender.

Defaced Malaysian Currency. Any banknotes should not be defaced with words, signs, symbols, drawings, or messages. You should also not drill holes into coins. Any defaced banknotes or coins will not have any value and you can always reject these defaced notes in payments. Defaced banknotes and coins cannot be exhanged for new currency at any banks because they have already lost their values.

Soiled Malaysian Currency. Old banknotes may become soiled (dirty due to usage) or deteriorate which might cause the security feature of the notes not to be as effective as a brand new notes. Soiled banknotes can be exchanged or deposited at any commercial banks in Malaysia.

Mutilated Malaysian Currency. Mutilated or damaged banknotes can be exchanged for new currency at any Bank Negara Malaysia branch or branches of commercial banks and Islamic banks. Badly mutilated or damaged banknoted may need further examination and valuation before any amount is refunded. Mutilation cause might be fire, water, chemicals, explosives, animals, insect or rodent damage, or suffered as a result of being buried or decomposed. However, the decision to award compensation is at the discretion of Bank Negara Malaysia.

Reproduction of the Malaysian Currency. It is illegal to reproduce the Malaysian currency or to use any photograph, drawing or design of any note, coin or any part of the note or coin, of any size, scale or colour, in any advertising or on any merchandise or products, which are manufactured, sold, circulated or distributed except with the permission of Bank Negara Malaysia. A fine up to RM5,000 will be implied if convicted.

Counterfeit Malaysian Currency. Counterfeit banknotes or coins do not have any values and cannot be exchanged with new currency. If you suspect someone has given you counterfeit Malaysian currency:

Delay the person (passer) who gives you the counterfeit banknote if possible and observe the passer’s description, as well as that of his/her companion if any, and the vehicle registration number used by them.

Do not write on, cut or re-circulate (use) the counterfeit currency.

Preserve the condition of the counterfeit currency by using envelope or plastic cover. Record the details about how you got the currency, who gave it to you, where and when you got it.

Take the counterfeit currency to the nearest police station and surrender the counterfeit currency after lodging a police report.

The partnership will put Petronas brand on all Fiat Yamaha team’s liveries, including on the bikes of riders Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo as well as team equipment and material. Petronas had been collaborating with Yamaha in motorcycle championship in the Asia Pacific region for more than eight years and the participation in the MotoGP can be considered a big step to improve it’s position in the international lubricant business. The deal will lead to the future extension of the existing business relationship in Malaysia into the South-East Asian region for the development and production of Yamalube engine oil for Yamaha OEM vehicles.

Petronas had been around in many motorsports activities with participation in rally championship, Formula 1, and World Superbike Series, Super GT and touring car championships. The company was involved in the World Superbike Series with Foggy Petronas Racing in 2006 where Petronas debut it’s owned motorcycle the FP1. Since 1997, Petronas joined Formula One after owning 40% stakes of Sauber Petronas Engineering. After Sauber Team had been bought by BMW, Petronas still continues the involvement by being the premium partner of the BMW Sauber F1 team.

Yamaha had been a really successful manufacturer and brand especially in MotoGP. Both companies has had various experiences in racing and hopefully this new partnership will help the Yamaha and Rossi to maintain both Constructors Championship and Riders Championship respectively. The new livery of the Fiat Yamaha Team riders and bikes with PETRONAS branding will be seen for the first time on Friday April 10th as the riders begin free practice for the 1st GP event – the night race in Qatar on Sunday April 12th.

I’m now a Forex trader thanks to LiteForex.org allowing trading to start from as low as USD1.00 deposit. Most forex trading platforms require starting deposit of USD200 with credit card or bank transfer payment. Two trading accounts are available, LITEForex and REALForex that are focused to both beginners and experts respectively. A demo account is also available for try outs and understand how the trading works before starting to inject real money into the trade. Account deposit ranges from USD1.00 to USD3000 for LITEForex account and from USD10 to unlimited for REALForex account. Read Trading Account Types for more information about the accounts.

Since last week I’ve been using the demo account to understand the trade and starting from Saturday I’ve opened a real LITEForex trading account and deposited USD5.oo from my PayPal account. Forex or currency trading is a risky business so I’m very cautious and only participate in trades that look promising. LiteForex.org make it possible for everybody to be a currency trader by allowing low account deposit and payment with credit cards or online money transfer services such as PayPal, Moneybookers, AlertPay and other services. Before anybody starting to join the program, note that as for now fund withdrawal is only payable to Paymer, MoneyBookers, and AlertPay, e-Gold, but not to PayPal. Hopefully they will upgrade the service and allow withdrawal to PayPal soon.

*Note:

Currently (April 2009) LITEForex accounts no longer support PayPal deposit but still accept Moneybookers and AlertPay.
