I am so unhappy because 000webhost has deleted my account without any prior notice. As far as I know I have not break the terms and conditions. What I did recently was moving my website from the 000webhost to Exabytes. I don’t think that they deleted my account just because I left all the website files in their server but are not active. Usually if something like this happen they will only delete the account for 1 website but not the entire account which still contains my other 2 websites. Or is it because I wrote a critic about them in a forum?
I don’t mind if they want to delete my account for any reason because I already have other hosting server but at least they should give me a warning if I have broken the terms and conditions or give time for me to back up my files. For 2 years with 000webhost, my verdict:
- 1500Mb (1.5Gb) disk space. The largest compared to all other free hosting services that I found. However they don’t mention to you anywhere that each account is limited to only 10000 files. So it is not suitable if you have a lot of small files such as thumbnails or CMS websites. Example: I installed WordPress and already I’m using 23% of files count but only 1% of the 1.5Gb disk space.
- 100Gb bandwidth. Also the largest compared to other free hosting that I know. I have not yet reach the bandwidth limit. No further comment.
- Pageload is quite slow especially if your website have a lot of contents such as images. About half the speed compared to my Exabytes server.
- Server uptime is not very satisfying. I registered with serviceuptime.com to check my server reachability status and the website are not reachable from some parts of the world for about 5min to 4hrs. Happened about 2-5 times a week. However this problem still exist when using Exabytes server but the frequency is reduced a little bit.
- .htaccess is allowed and I have been customizing it as much as possible. This means you can use SEO-friendly URLs for your WordPress or Joomla sites.
- Autoinstaller is available but not working. Need manual installation of CMS. Probably works for paid version.
- Only 2 MySQL databases is allowed. Means that you cannot use more than 2 CMS (wordpress, joomla, phpbb, etc) in 1 account/domain.
- Recently the backup service has been upgraded and you can backup the files and MySQL databases anytime you want. Last year I have to manually backup everything.
- Fast setup and installation. Sites run 5-30min after installation.
- Customer service is fast but only limited to topics they can handle. Else you’ll need to solve the problem by yourself. They also don’t notify you about any update or problems their having.
- No Slow Query or Too Many Query on the server is allowed. This means the server load is limited and you’ll be warned about this. Frequent occurrence might get your account banned unless you upgrade to paid service. There are plugins or applications such as Website/Traffic Statistics which produce this problems. Limit those kind of things in your sites.
- 5 addons domain, 5 subdomains, 5 emails, 2 MySQLs
- Yes: PHP 5.x, Curl, PHP mai, Cron Jobs. No: Perl, CGI, SSL, SSH.
- No ADS to interfere your website at all.
Verdict: Good for starters or you don’t have any money to spend on paid hosting.

I used to use them as a host, abd you’re right, they’re great for beginners, however they’re constant downtime and continuous problems caused me to stop using them. I have since opened up my own hosting site providing free hosting to whoever needs it – http://www.emnhosting.co.cc abd it’s working great so far!
They have just done this to my website too. They have made it difficult for me to contact them too. really angry

Its been a while I have not visit my old website that I hosted via 0000webhost. Most probably they had already delete them.

Yeah they can be quite a hassle to reach about anything. They sometimes deactivate my domains which haven’t had any action as far as using the control panel does, which happens frequently, since I work a lot through WordPress and File-zilla.
I just logged into an old account I have with 000webhost and got the following message – thought it may be of use to you. Also I would be interested to hear if anyone finds the reason their websites were taken down?
“Your Action is Required!
You have not logged on to 000webhost.com Members Area for a long time!
According to our terms of service you are required to login to members area at least 1 time a year in order to show us that you are still using our services. Otherwise we reserve a right to disable some features of your account (we will never delete your website anyway).”
I have also found that the old domain had been canceled but had an option for me to put it back online. And visiting the address resulted in the same page showing as you have posted above. Have you tried logging back into it so you can put it back online/back up the files?
