How to Import Blog Feed to Facebook Pages

Importing blog feeds to Facebook Pages saves you the effort of exporting or sharing your blog post on Facebook. Every time you update your blog, the article will automatically available in your Facebook page as a note. However not every content of your blog post will be displayed such as advertising banners, Flash files (swf/flv), or any video formats.

I present here a simple tutorial on how to import your blog rss feed automatically when you update your blog.

1. Go to your Facebook Page and click on the Edit Page link right below your page profile picture.

Edit Page link to the Admin page

2. In the Admin Page, edit setting for Notes.

Edit Notes settings

3. Next you’ll come to a page containing all previous notes for the page. On the right corner will be a link for you to import a blog.

4. After a click on the Import a blog link you’ll be redirected to a page where you can enter your blog address. Fill in the address of the blog you want to import and click on the Start Importing button.

Entering website/blog URL

The process is completed and your Facebook page will automatically display articles from the blog you had imported every time you have and update.

    Hi,

I imported my blog to facebook the other day, and had no problem doing that…but I have noticed that my facebook page doesn’t automatically update when I publish a new post. Have you ever run into that problem? any ideas on why that might be happening? thanks!!

They don’t update automatically because there are bots that will fetch the feeds and the bots don’t just focus on our sites. There are millions of other Facebook pages so a little queue won’t be a problem.

I am trying to import my blog to my business page from my website. I know my RRS feed is valid as it comes up valid on the validator but when I try and import it as described above I keep getting a message saying “Import Failed. We couldn’t find a feed using the URL you provided” what can I do to fix this problem?

I suggest you put in your actual RSS feed url into the form instead of the website’s url. I don’t know if this will work. Try it out and tell me.

  7. I’ve been trying all variations of feeds too but it’s not working. I know it’s worked in the past but it’s not been working for the past 2 days. Very frustrating as I considered this one to be the best option for importing feeds.

Hi Kathie.. thank you for your comment. I took a look at your page and found out that your feeds URL katiesphotos.com/feed/ does not shows your feeds correctly but the Feedburner URL feeds2.feedburner.com/KathiesPhotoscom works fine. I guess Facebook reads the original feeds URL instead of Feedburner links. Please check the original RSS feed links in Feedburner setting and use it in your Facebook page.
